Animation I made for an auto detailing company in Colorado.ย
Below is my workflow for this piece.
It began with pen and paper. I had the logo done already now it was time to add some motion.โโโโโโโ
Step 1 animating the Stripes.
The stripe animation is separated into two parts. The solid stripes and the animation of the line. The line was created with a rectangle tool with a CC slant effect to match the slanted stripes.ย
The stripes have a gradient fit with one end having 0% opacity. I then animated the gradient to to scale up and down. As the line grew smaller the opacity of the original stripe would be raised up to 100%
Step 2 The 'K'
I love experimenting with the Saber plugin and it worked perfectly for ant I envisioned the 'K' to do. I added a stroke to the K and removed the fill. I then went and auto traced based on luminesce. I now had a mask that would work with the saber plugin.ย
Other affected I messed around with were Crate's Godrays and Fast Radial Blur. ย for the light leak effect.ย
To tie it all together I had the stripes reveal the text and create an impact for the 'K' animation to start. Some chromatic abration and a coupleย
I recored my voice on my iPhone and found the sound effects online for the sound design.
